It’s worth the wait. You have probably heard this phrase at some point in your life and you have found it to be true for different aspects of your life. The one aspect this episode will be focusing on is in regards to dating and friendships. Sometimes we find that we click with someone very well and we are beyond excited to keep moving the relationship forward. Or we just left someone behind and want to move forward with someone new so we’re eager to start searching again. Although we may seek to build meaningful connections with others, it is also important to practice waiting before fully jumping into anything. This is especially true if we haven’t given ourselves enough time to heal and may be looking to fill the void in our hurt or disappointment. However, in doing this, we are just doing more damage to ourselves and to others in the long run. Come chat with us and let’s go over what a healthy waiting period can look like, why it matters, and its benefits. Everyone’s lifestyle and situations are different so feel free to apply this as you see fit.
