Confidence. It’s a word we hear every day where we are constantly flooded with tips on how to improve it and how to maintain it. However, it’s rare for us to hear it being tied into our identity and its importance. In this episode, we talk about why knowing your identity outside of trends, social media, and relationships is important to your self-confidence. We deep dive into spending time with yourself and how knowing yourself from within will keep you from being shaken out of your confidence. Although confidence is something to be worked on constantly, it is important to own it so that your worth doesn’t become easily influenced by outside validation. ”V”Is For What?

What comes to mind when you hear the word value? Is it money? Appreciation? How about standards? Value is really what you make it out to be. Sometimes, we get caught up in someone else’s opinions based on their status or economic background and we lose ourselves. Self-talk is important for this in order to remind us that our value doesn’t go down based on someone else’s status or opinions. We are complex beings and can continue to learn from each other but it doesn’t mean we are better than or less than someone else. You set your own value in the way you carry yourself, your self worth, and who you are as a person in general. So next time you’re struggling with this, just ask yourself: “V” is for what?
